Our client is a leading privately held, diversified, and growing manufacturer of process equipment used in a wide range of industries. In this electrical controls engineering role, you be responsible for full spectrum electrical and controls engineering tasks including electrical design, PLC/HMI development and programming, system testing and commissioning.

  • Based in suburban Chicago with engineering, manufacturing, service and distribution to meet customer needs

Position Overview

  • Design electrical system schematic diagrams and control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Develop, program, and troubleshoot programs primarily using Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Develop, program, and troubleshoot HMI interfaces for FactoryTalk, InduSoft, and Ignition operator interface platforms
  • Assist with hardware and software troubleshooting during start-up and commissioning phases
  • Provide customer support using remote system diagnosis via VPN and on-site visit as needed

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • At least 4 years electrical and controls engineering experience
  • Proficiency programming PLCs and HMIs
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment and travel on a limited basis
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without restrictions
