The electrical AutoCAD designer role will have you focused on developing detail drawings of complex electrical control and power distribution systems across a broad range of industries.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work with engineers on electrical projects from conceptual design to startup
- Develop detailed design drawings, electrical schematics, wire diagrams, panel layout drawings, three-line drawings, and I/O lists based on drawings, notes, and sketches from engineering
- Ensure that all design drawings and plans meet company and industry CAD standards
- Work closely with cross functional teams
- Develop bills of materials
- Develop cable & conduit schedules
- Ensure accuracy of technical documentation
- Correct design errors
- Participate in the design estimation process including – feasibility, time, and costs
- Evaluate design to verify fit and function
- Create, update, and maintain electrical symbols library
- Make calculations of specific electrical components including fuses, starters, overload relays and conductors
- Evaluate engineering change requests and determine necessary drawing and bill of material updates
Position Skills, Experience, Education
- AAS degree in Computer Aided Drafting/ Design or equivalent
- Electrical AutoCAD Design experience with Ladder, Loop and PID diagram
- Control Panel design experience is highly desirable
