The electrical AutoCAD designer role will have you focused on developing detail drawings of complex electrical control and power distribution systems across a broad range of industries.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineers on electrical projects from conceptual design to startup
  • Develop detailed design drawings, electrical schematics, wire diagrams, panel layout drawings, three-line drawings, and I/O lists based on drawings, notes, and sketches from engineering
  • Ensure that all design drawings and plans meet company and industry CAD standards
  • Work closely with cross functional teams
  • Develop bills of materials
  • Develop cable & conduit schedules
  • Ensure accuracy of technical documentation
  • Correct design errors
  • Participate in the design estimation process including – feasibility, time, and costs
  • Evaluate design to verify fit and function
  • Create, update, and maintain electrical symbols library
  • Make calculations of specific electrical components including fuses, starters, overload relays and conductors
  • Evaluate engineering change requests and determine necessary drawing and bill of material updates
 
 
Position Skills, Experience, Education
  • AAS degree in Computer Aided Drafting/ Design or equivalent
  • Electrical AutoCAD Design experience with Ladder, Loop and PID diagram
  • Control Panel design experience is highly desirable
