Looking to hire a; DMS Clinical Coordinator –
Responsibilities:
Maintains current knowledge of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; goals, policies, procedures and student progress.
Prepares and maintains course outlines and objectives;
Provides students with academic and clinical instruction, clinical supervision and oversees laboratory simulation experiences;
Ensures students have access to reliable clinical facilities where quality hands-on scanning is essential within the learning concentration;
Evaluates academic achievement, clinical competence and reports progress;
Understands the clinical objectives and clinical evaluation system; Participates in the assessment process;
Provides remediation and counseling when necessary; Contributes to periodic review and revision of academic and clinical course materials;
Ensures all agency policies and procedures are followed; Maintains competency in the professional discipline and instructional and evaluative techniques through continuing professional development; Participates in student recruitment and the new student selection process.
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in the classroom and laboratory setting
Evaluation of students and documentation of progress
Periodic review of course content and classroom materials for currency
Develop methods of assessing student learning and provide feedback in a timely manner
Serve as liaison for communication with clinical sites and maintain effective relationships with clinical preceptors
Coordinate and evaluate all clinical education activities to ensure students meet the clinical requirements established by CAAHEP
Assist with student recruitment, selection, and orientation
Qualifications:
Education Requirements
2 year/associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (required)
Experience
Relevant Experience (Minimum two years of full-time clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the clinical setting – (Preferred) & Experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance in educational theories and techniques – (Preferred)
