Job Summary:
The Director of Operations will lead and oversee the daily operations of a manufacturing facility with 200+ employees. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of production, logistics, safety, and overall operational performance. The Director of Operations will work closely with department managers to ensure operational efficiency, high product quality, and alignment with corporate goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in manufacturing operations, and a proven track record of driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all manufacturing operations, including production planning, quality control, supply chain management, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set goals and create long-term plans for production and facility growth.
- Manage and lead a team of department heads, supervisors, and production staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals and production targets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintain a strong culture of safety across the facility.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to improve production performance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing techniques, and other best practices to streamline operations.
- Drive accountability and foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Oversee budget management and resource allocation to achieve financial objectives.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and external partners to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues that may arise.
- Lead and support talent development and succession planning to ensure the facility has strong leadership at all levels.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large teams (200+ employees) and complex operations.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with budget planning, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
