We are looking for a Director of Innovations who will assist with managing all functions of the innovations team, including formulation, pre-clinical and clinical groups. This will involve direct supervision of personnel, overseeing design and implementing innovations projects through development, preparation, and review of development documents.
Manage the development of new products for the company, including rationale, project timeline, and budget.
Manage the Innovations Team on new products for soft chews, tablets, capsules of other formulations.
Provide input and recommendations for business development proposals.
Work with Technical Services to support development of existing products.
Review of technical reports, SOPs, and batch records.
Assist in the preparation of regulatory documents.
Assist and support Product Managers in development of product improvements, and related scientific, marketing and promotional materials.
Monitor new developments and current status of pharmaceutical clinical research projects, studies and trends.
Provide recommendations and rationale for product improvements and new product ideas.
Represent company at conferences and trade shows.
Provide educational, professional, and technical support to sales force as necessary.
Experience with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures
Working knowledge of principles of current Good Manufacturing practices (cGMPs).
Veterinary Medicine degree or Doctor of Philosophy with 3 to 6 years of industry experience.
Basic knowledge of scientific principles and practices is required.
The candidate must be experienced in product development or formulation development.
Must possess excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, and organization skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
Must be competent in computer usage, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and/or databases. Knowledge of MS Project is also required.
Minimum of 3 years managerial and supervisory experience
