Director of Construction
Job Summary
This position’s primary responsibility is the management and direction of the Union and Non-Union construction organizations in the building of field erected cooling towers in the Americas. The incumbent is responsible for the construction business programs and processes and ensures adherence to approved cost, quality, delivery, and safety standards. Accountable areas include the execution of construction projects, enforcement of safety policies, budget and resource management, construction yard management, and client relations. The area managers, safety managers, and Senior Manager of Lean Construction report directly to this position. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, creativity, leadership, teamwork, and confidentiality. The incumbent is a key contributor to the Cooling leadership team, and drives growth by contributing to, leading, and shaping the business unit’s construction organizations. Success in this role requires extensive knowledge of the relevant products and markets and the willingness to aggressively pursue financial goals. This position also involves a significant amount of travel.
