Join a growing System Integration firm working on a wide variety of challenging and rewarding projects. They are seeking a Controls Engineer with experience with industrial facility control programs including water, pumps, compressors fans, and damper controls. The ideal candidate will be able to work to develop a sequence of operations and write programs from scratch.  (Allen Bradley PLC programming using structured text and ladder logic.)

Experience in water/wastewater is a plus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience programming (Allen-Bradley Rockwell) PLC & HMI from scratch.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents including plans and specifications, P&IDs, and installation manuals 
  • Ability to read elementary diagrams as well as process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience in computer networks and/or information technology.
  • Knowledge of technical controls and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and work overtime.
  • US Citizenship or Authorization to Work in the US. 

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on controls systems programming, including SOO and program development.
  • Creating custom Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems
  • Building the platform to control various automation system equipment and machines
  • Technical support during testing and commissioning.
  • Install and troubleshoot field devices.
  • Review hardware and software designs.
  • Assist in project tracking and documentation.
  • Prepare written control narratives.
