Thye are currently in search of an experienced Controller to join their dynamic team. This crucial role provides the opportunity to make significant contributions to their strategic direction, bringing your leadership skills and financial acumen to their thriving organization.  This is an in office position at their Corporate office in Tempe, Arizona.  Salary is up to $150K DOE.

Job Role:

As Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of financial operations. Your responsibilities will encompass financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, tax planning, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards. You will be integral to their continued success, providing the financial oversight necessary to maintain Company’s growth trajectory.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting
  • Coordinate the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare timely monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Work closely with the executive team to develop financial strategies and plans
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Collaborate with the management team to make financial decisions
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a Controller or similar role
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel;
  • experience with Google Workspace is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • An analytical mind with strategic abilities
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is strongly preferred
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required;
  •  MBA and/or CPA is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Controller or similar high-level executive role
