Commercial Estimator

– Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
– Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
– Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing
– Evaluate bids and proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness
– Create detailed project budgets and timelines
– Track project costs and provide regular updates to management
– Review change orders and assess their impact on project costs
– Participate in pre-construction meetings and site visits as necessary

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
– Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role
– Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
– Proficient in using estimating software and tools
– Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
– Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations
– Strong communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
