Our client is a leading manufacturer in the this sector, specializing in mold fabrication and production of plastic fasteners. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in precision manufacturing.

Position Summary:

As a CNC Machinist in our Mold Fabrication department (CNC Milling) or Production department (CNC Lathes), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products. The ideal candidate will have previous machine shop experience, be proficient in blueprint reading, and possess the mechanical aptitude required to excel in this role. Knowledge of CNC programming (G and M code) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as surface grinding, milling, and EDM for mold fabrication (Mold Fabrication Department) or production of plastic fasteners (Production Department).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining processes.
  • Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify and maintain precise tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance and tool changes to ensure machine efficiency and quality output.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in CNC programming (G and M code) when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and quality control data.

Qualifications:

  • Previous machine shop experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming (G and M code) is a plus.
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC machines effectively.
  • Experience with surface grinding, milling, EDM (for Mold Fabrication) or lathe operations (for Production) is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
  • Flexibility to work first or second shift as required.
