City Planner

City Planner with AICP Certification needed for a growing city in one of the fastest-growing parishes in southeastern Louisiana.

In this role you will determine the best way to use the city’s land and resources and assist in guiding the orderly growth and development of the city. The city is centrally located between two major interstates, which contributes to the area’s attractiveness for residents and businesses. This contributes to the city fast becoming a logistics hub within the southeast region with millions of square feet of distribution coming to the area and residual job growth.  While the downtown area is enjoying a great renaissance with new projects, businesses, and programming, capitalizing on being the heart of the community and a hub of activity for the region.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field
• 2 years of relative experience, including 6 months of supervisory experience
• American Institute of Certified Planners Certification – AICP
