Certified NETA or NICET Field Technician
  • Candidates must possess a NETA or NICET certification and an engineering degree to be considered
  • Pay is $25 – $40 per hour

This full-time, permanent Certified NETA or NICET Field Technician opportunity is at a small electrical power solution provider to Fortune 500 companies. The successful candidate’s duties will include:
  • Reading and understanding electrical drawings
  • Inspecting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical power distribution systems including automatic transfer switches, circuit breakers, conductors, relays, starters, switchgears and transformers
  • Starting up and commissioning electrical power distribution systems including automatic transfer switches, circuit breakers, conductors, relays, starters, switchgears and transformers
  • Operate infrared thermography cameras
  • Documenting detailed reports upon completion
 
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
  • NETA or NICET Certification
  • An engineering degree
  • Two years of testing and evaluating low, medium and high voltage electrical power systems
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (usually Monday through Thursday on site and home Friday) for field service work
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
