The ideal candidate will hold an Engineering degree with 1-5 years experience of selling or program management of engineered components serving the Automotive, Industrial, or heavy Truck Industries

1) Successfully negotiate contracts for products in the areas of pricing, timing, and long-term contracts, in conjunction with the manufacturing facility involved.
2) Identify customer needs and match them to our solutions, with appropriate response; solicit quotations for components and products that fit our company’s marketing plan; educate potential customers about the manufacturing capabilities and product development activities of our principals.
3) Gather all pertinent information for quoting, including target prices, timing, volumes, part weight, specifications, unique customer requirements, etc.
4) Develop complete quotation packages; assist in the preparation of quotations, and presentation of them to the customer; work closely with the customer to anticipate requirements, follow up as necessary and communicate fully with all concerned.
5) Develop and maintain good business relationships with our customers’ buyers, purchasing management, engineering, and quality staffs, as well as the user plant’s key people.
6) Know our customers’ purchasing processes and procedures, their engineering methods, and their quality systems and requirements. Make regular visits for follow-up, service, and good will as required.
7) Work to develop and enhance relationships with our customers and principals’ plant personnel, such as the presidents, engineering, quality, finance, production, and sales staff.
8) Provide feedback from customers to all persons who have need of it. Work closely with the customer and the related manufacturing plant to find “win-win” solutions to customer problems and concerns. Act whenever possible to prevent problems and concerns from developing.
9) Work with product development engineers, principals’ plants, customer engineering, and other customer groups to develop additional sales and product opportunities.
10) Perform all business in an honest, ethical, and trustworthy manner. Use professionalism in all business dealings. Be responsive, courteous, and sincere in all dealings with all parties.
11) Keep accurate and complete records of all business dealings. Provide concise and timely feedback and information to all parties involved. Use prescribed communication channels as appropriate. Always communicate and keep records in writing, by following verbal communications with written acknowledgements whenever appropriate.
