Our client is a fast growing Global Manufacturing company.  We are actively recruiting for a Sr. Accountant who can work hybrid
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain timely, useful financial charts/reports to support analysis and decision making
  • Participate in month end closing procedures; draft/record journal entries, review account activity, identifying necessary accruals and allocations, and highlighting and understanding unbudgeted financial variations
  • Prepare month end account reconciliations, proactively rectifying unreconciled transactions
  • Evaluate procurement, labor, and production costs across operational facilities and terminals
  • Analyze logistics costs and analyze monthly trends
  • Sales, margin, and expense analysis and reporting
  • Participate in the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting processes
  • Provide audit deliverables and communicate with the internal and external audit teams
  • Perform various financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Identify improvements, make recommendations and promote new ideas
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
  • Must communicate effectively by listening, writing and speaking clearly and accurately and keeping the team and management informed
  • Must promote cross-training within the department and be willing to help coworkers during absences and high-volume events
  • Carries out routine duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Makes decisions and establishes work priorities on essentially procedure-oriented operations.
  • Must be able to work non-standard hours during peak periods
  • Some travel required (10 percent or less)

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline; CPA or path to becoming a CPA preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience with a public firm or private industrial company; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures and processes
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), report writing applications, data extraction/consolidation experience and prior exposure to an ERP system
  • Inventory and manufacturing cost accounting knowledge preferred
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
